A “chaplain” by definition is a “spiritual Caregiver outside of the Church context”. Most of us are aware of prison, hospital and military chaplains. Corporate Chaplaincy has been documented as far back as the 1940’s, however the movement has really taken off over the past 25 years as there are now over 5,000 Corporate Chaplains in the U.S.A. and that number is growing daily as companies, some as large as Taco Bell and Coca Cola, and some as small as single family operations continue to see the benefits. Corporate Chaplaincy is in it’s infancy in Canada, and despite several small operations in Canada, Corporate Chaplains Canada remains at the forefront of this valuable Ministry in the Marketplace.
